
Dale Dwain Scarber, Jr., a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, in Orange, Texas. Born on November 2, 1982, in Orange, Texas, Dale lived a life full of joy, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Dale was a dedicated Maintenance Lead at VLS Environmental Services, where his commitment and hard work were greatly valued. Outside of work, Dale found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished his time fishing and being out on the water, especially on the Sabine River, often alongside his beloved wife, Darlea. A true family man, he loved taking his children four-wheeler riding, creating cherished memories and adventures. Dale was known for his outgoing personality and his ability to make everyone around him laugh. He possessed a truly generous spirit, always willing to drop whatever he was doing to help others, no matter the task, big or small.
Dale leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his devoted wife, Darlea Haney; his loving mother, Dee Watkins; his cherished daughter, Dixie Scarber; and his beloved sons, Daxx Scarber and Dean Paul Scarber. He is also survived by his brothers, Greg Watkins and wife Christi, and Seth Watkins and wife Amber. Dale will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, Bentley Watkins, Marlee Watkins, Bailee Watkins, Ally Trero, and Carley Watkins, as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Watkins, and his grandmothers, Jo Watkins and Wanda Campbell.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
