
Rupert Finley Tindall, Jr., age 68, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, after a courageous battle with terminal cancer.
Rupert was born on March 20, 1957, in Orange, Texas, to Marie Loiacano Tindall and Rupert Finley Tindall, Sr. He spent his early years growing up in Orange, where he attended school and built many lifelong memories and friendships.
After graduating from high school, Rupert moved to Houston, Texas. There he worked for many years alongside his older brother, Marion Tindall, serving as Director of Maintenance and Development for his brother’s schools. Rupert was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and reliability.
Following his retirement from that position, Rupert started working in security. During this time he was recognized for his outstanding dedication and service, receiving Employee of the Year awards for two consecutive years across three states.
Rupert had a curious and thoughtful spirit. He loved reading, discovering new things, and constantly learning throughout his life. In the last three to four years, he bravely battled cancer, facing the illness with determination and strength as he worked hard to overcome it.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
brother, Thomas Tindall,and nephews, John Bland, Christopher Tindall, and James Grimes.
Rupert is survived by his loving family, including his brother, Marion Tindall; his sisters, Anna Williams and Nancy Johnson and her husband Neal; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Rupert’s cousin, Allan Loiacano, for all of his help and support during this difficult time. They are also grateful to Rupert’s many friends and neighbors who stood by him and assisted him when he needed it most.
The family would also like to sincerely thank CHOICE Hospice for the wonderful care provided during Rupert’s final days. A special recognition is given to Mia Ford and the compassionate nurses Sonya, Nicki, Caroline, Tina, and Niki for the kindness and personal care they showed.
The family would also like to thank the members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church for their love, prayers, and support during this time.
Rupert will be remembered for his determination, his love of learning, and the kindness he showed to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
