
Charlene Ann Henagan Oxenbol, 69, of Groves, Texas, passed away on February 22, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones, in Port Arthur.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on June 29, 1956, she was the daughter of Robert Joe Henagan and Connie Ruth Henagan Raines (Havard). She was a lifelong resident of Groves, Texas and graduated from Port Neches Groves High School. Charlene worked for many years as an administrative assistant at Dow Chemical, where she made lasting contributions and friendships that enriched her life. Outside of her career, Charlene was known for her love of sports. Her daughter recalls a story about Charlene and her two cousins playing football and she was holding her own with the boys! She had grit and resilience. She had a profound love for word puzzles, spending countless hours delighting in the challenge. Her skill in solitaire was well known, as she often enjoyed those moments of quiet concentration. An avid sports fan, she passionately supported the Houston Astros, celebrating their victories with an unwavering spirit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Henagan and Connie Henagan Raines.
Charlene is survived by her daughter, Faith Henagan; grandsons, Michael Lewis II, Milan Lewis, and Miles Lewis; sisters, Ramie Howlett and her husband, Clay, Sharon Combs and her husband, Doug; brother, Patrick Henagan and his wife, Connie; and step siblings, Sheilah Raines, Kerry Raines and his wife, Christine; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, and a gathering for family and friends will be scheduled for a future date.
