William Knapp, age 74 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 in Port Arthur, Texas. A graveside service to honor William’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas with Brother Molanders officiating. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home.
William was born in Austin, Texas on October 11, 1947 to parents, Opal Luce Knapp and Oscar Knapp. William proudly dedicated 22 years of service the United States Navy. After his retirement from the Navy, William moved around for a few years before moving back to his home in Orange. He went to work for Goodyear and retired after numerous years. William loved being outdoors; whether it was fishing or camping. William was a unique, but genuine man that will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Knapp and Opal Loe and his sisters, Gladys Peschka and Mildred Peters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son Gene Guy and his wife Lisa of Dayton, TX, brother George Knapp of Manor, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers to honor William will be Coray Peter, Shane Jordan, Jr. Perkins, Randy Burns and Tim Harper.
