Kathryn Mary Davis of Vidor, Texas, was born June 25, 1951, and passed away June 7, 2026, at the age of 74.
She was a gentle and compassionate soul whose greatest joy came from caring for the people she loved. Kind-hearted and endlessly giving, she had a special gift for comforting others, lifting their spirits, and making everyone feel seen and valued. As a mother, she delighted in creating magical holidays and cherished memories for her children, filling their lives with warmth, wonder, and love.
She found beauty in the world around her and was deeply inspired by music, especially the songs of John Denver. She loved attending concerts, admired the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains, and found joy in fields of California poppies and the countless wonders of nature. Guided by a belief in the oneness of all things, she lived with an open heart and a gentle spirit. Her kindness, love, and appreciation for life’s beauty will be remembered always by those fortunate enough to have known her.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dennis Davis; children, Michael Davis and wife Aneta Davis, Amy Davis and husband Brian McGraw, Kristin Davis and husband John Kouraklis, Jon Cody Davis; grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Cooper Davis, and Everlea Kouraklis; and siblings, Cheryl Ann Bell, Dennis Cargill.
She is preceded in death by mother, Lea Ila Cargill; father, Lloyd Ray Cargill; siblings, Janet Cargill, Sarah Ferris, and Lloyd Cargill, Jr.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Dorman – Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Dorman – Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas. Interment to follow at Williamson Cemetery, Vidor, Texas.
