
Steve W. Simmons, 70, of Orange, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. A longtime resident of Orange, Steve was known for his deep love of fishing, which was his greatest passion. He was a certified weigh master and a proud member of the Saltwater Angler League of Texas.
Steve is survived by his two daughters, Hally Jo Simmons Wagner and husband Richard Wagner, and Lethia Manuel and husband Louis Manuel. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Aric Simmons and fiancée Kris, Ethen Lowe and fiancée Cheyenne, Evan Rosati, Auston Kornegay, Taleesha Manuel, Louis Manuel IV, Mason Manuel, and Esme Manuel; along with one great-grandchild.
He was one of nine siblings and is survived by his brother, Edgar Lableu.
