This past Saturday the Orangefield Sophisticats competed in the Trendsetters’ Southeast regional competition at Nederland High School and received the following awards:
- The officer line received the Superior Award and Outstanding Choreography for their lyrical routine.
- The team received the Trendsetters Award of Excellence, Super Sweepstakes Award and Precision Merit Award. They also received Outstanding Choreography and Best in Class for their novelty, jazz and pom routines.
- Piper Philyaw received 5th runner up for her solo.
The Sophisticats are coached by Tara Greenwood and Lacie Stelly.
