Randel “Bubba” Gene Trumbull was born on May 1, 1962, in Anson, Texas. He passed away and went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on January 20, 2026.
He was a handyman of all trades. He retired from the Elevator Trade in December of 2023. The past two years, he was able to enjoy his retirement by working on his never-ending list of projects, spending time with his wife and family, and even getting in a little bit of traveling. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Zaborowski Trumbull; they were married for 39 years, 9 months, and 29 days. He is also survived by his son, Caleb Ephraim Trumbull; his daughter-in-law, Hillary M. Trumbull; and his daughter, Sarah Elisabeth Trumbull. He also leaves behind four precious grandchildren, Emily, Madeline, Paisley, and Ashton; siblings, Travis Trumbull (Leslie), Amy Heffington (Ellis), Judi VanDyke Smith, Esther VanDyke Desselle, Ricky Trumbull (Kayla), Elizabeth VanDyke, Andy VanDyke, Albert VanDyke, and Violet VanDyke; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Norman Gene Trumbull; mother, Fern Stevens Trumbull VanDyke; sister, Carol Ann Trumbull VanDyke; and niece, Kathryn Elizabeth Lawlis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1996 IH-35N, San Marcos, TX.
