The Texas Association of Student Councils is the largest organization of student leaders in the world. Bridge City HS campaigned for Secretary with their platform: “Find Your Pitch…Perfect Harmony” proposing that all schools need to value, include and celebrate ALL student voices no matter what their “pitch” may be.
Jensyn Yeaman, BCHS student representative, gave a speech to 4000+ and fielded questions at Meet the Candidates. The rest of the team of 20 set up a booth, campaigned face to face and performed a skit showcasing their platform.
BCHS Student Council won top Sweepstakes-highest honor in Texas completing projects across several categories- won TASC Top 10 Project AND Top 10 Video recognition. Ethan Hernandez and Gabby Moore were also named Lone Star Leaders and Gabby also received 1 of 5 TASC scholarships .
Lastly, BCHS StuCo received National Gold Council of Excellence recognition for the 13th year in a row.
