Reports of 3-5 inches of rain were reported overnight in areas of Orange County. More rain is expected throughout the morning Wednesday.
LCMCISD had a bus that got stuck in Mauriceville. The kids were transferred to another bus. Other bus routes were late due to water over the roads.
Deweyville ISD reported that the Gist area experienced some flash flooding and there was a tree down, and that the bus may not can make it to all the stops. Parents were asked to bring their kids to the Cherry Grove Church and the bus made another stop there at 7:15
Vidor ISD started school two hours later than usual.
The Mauriceville Utility District also put out a report, “We are doing our best to maintain our water and wastewater systems throughout this rain event. All wells, pumps, storage tanks, and water lines are operating normally.”
