The Stark Museum of Art is pleased to present The Art & Science of Personal Color Talk, an interactive presentation by guest speaker Emily Lopez. The program will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 24 as a special offering of the Museum’s Art After 5 Series. Admission is free of charge.
Emily Lopez is an educator, entrepreneur and founder of Beyoutiful Color Analysis in Beaumont, Texas. During this engaging experience, she will facilitate a live demonstration on personal color analysis and include opportunities for audience participation. Guests will explore the foundations of color theory and learn why certain colors enhance natural features. Connecting art, science and self-expression, this program offers a fresh perspective on color harmony and confidence.
“Through this program, we are celebrating the power of color in connection to our special exhibition, ‘The Color Orange.’ We are excited to learn insight from Emily Lopez about the ways that color can impact our everyday lives and influence the way that we see ourselves. She will also discuss the unique role of orange within seasonal color palettes, making an even more vibrant connection to the exhibition,” said Kyra Hall, studio & public programs coordinator at the Stark Museum of Art.
Emily Lopez’s work explores the fascinating relationship between color and human perception. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies and Portuguese from The University of Texas at Austin and combines her educational background with years of professional experience in makeup artistry and personal color analysis. Through Beyoutiful Color Analysis, Emily bridges the worlds of art, science and beauty, helping others discover that color is more than something we see; it is a language that shapes how we perceive ourselves, one another and the world around us.
The Art & Science of Personal Color Talk will be held in the Walter G. Riedel III Education Center at the Stark Museum of Art.
