The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on April 23, on State Highway 99, just east of mile marker 800 in Mont Belvieu. The preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 5:37 p.m., a 2014 white Ford F-250 truck, driven by John Trahan, 60, of Orange, was traveling northbound in the southbound lane of SH 99. Murder Charge For Lewis
A grand jury returned charges against three people Thursday after a woman was shot and killed in her home south of Lake Charles. According to KPLC, Investigators said Annette D. Touvell, 65, was watching TV when she was shot in the head on Saturday, March 2. They said Touvell was not the target of the shooters, who they believed had been driving down Sailfish Drive and shooting at random houses. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash on Interstate 10 near Martin Luther King Dr. The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, the driver of a 2017 Toyota Camry, identified as Cameron Williams, 30, of Harlingen, Tx., was traveling east and struck a pedestrian who entered the roadway.
