Gates Down To 8 Feet

Spillway releases from the Toledo Bend Reservoir are continuing to be reduced as lake levels lower in the aftermath of the major rain event which dropped 18 inches of water directly over Toledo Bend. Toledo Bend Reservoir, operated by the Sabine River Authority of Texas and the Sabine River Authority, State of Louisiana reached a record level high of 174.36 feet mean sea level (msl) at 6:00 a.m. on March 10, 2016 due to the rainfall event. • Orange County Emergency Management has called a mandatory evacuation for everyone north of Interstate 10 and east of Texas Highway 87. • A Red Cross shelter will be set up at North Orange Baptist Church, 4775 16th Street in Orange. Evacs/Closures on Monday, 10am

Monday morning Pinehurst and West Orange joined Orange and have called voluntary evacuations for people living near Adams Bayou. West Orange Mayor Roy McDonald said the lowest areas include Dayton Street and anything east of Dayton. Sandbag supplies are available at the West Orange Police Department, 2700 Austin Street behind city hall. The sand has run out at the Orange Boat Ramp off Simmons Drive and will not be replaced. Pinehurst Voluntary Evacuation

Due to the impending floods, the City of Pinehurst has Declared a state of emergency for areas near Adams Bayou and low-lying adjacent areas. This includes residents and businesses near Macarthur Drive at Adams Bayou, 29th, 30th, 31st, 33rd Streets as well as areas of Camelot, Lancelot, Somerset, Enchanted Oaks and Concord previously affected by hurricane Ike.
