Orange police are looking for a young woman in connection with a daytime burglary at a house in the 4300 block of Tulane Road. The resident was napping in a recliner and woke to find the burglar inside the den. The woman fled the house with several pieces of jewelry from a bedroom. The resident told police she had been working outside and came inside about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday. She locked the door and laid down in the recliner. When Lutcher Stark was 17, he started his freshman year at the University of Texas. He traveled by car from Orange to Austin with his mother and grandmother. The trip took three days. West Orange police are asking the public to help catch a man who robbed the Sally's Beauty Supply store off Edgar Brown Drive near Walmart Wednesday morning. West Orange Assistant Police Chief Jesse Romero said the robbery was about 10:40 a.m. A man walked into the store and milled around. The Deweyville Pirates rebounded from their first loss of the season two weeks ago with a decisive victory last week over Galveston O’Connell. This week the Pirates play the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats. Deweyville Coach Lance Dale says the Bobcats run a similar offense to the Pirates.
