Dilapidated Houses Coming Down
The city of Orange in November issued eight building permits for demolitions with seven of the dilapidated houses torn down by the city with federal grant money. Also, a 16th Street business, Dawn Jones Realty, is being remodeled and St. James Missionary Baptist Church tore down one building to fix a new one. Dawn Jones Realty, 2204 16th Street, received a permit for $30,000 worth of remodeling under the commercial listings.
