A Vidor police car was hit in the rear on Interstate 10 Tuesday night as the officer was working at a previous collision. Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Stephanie Davis said the officer was not in the car and was not hurt. The collision was about 10:45 p.m. on Interstate 10 westbound lanes near the Main Street exit in Vidor. A Chevrolet passenger car ran into the back of the stopped patrol car. This is the first year for Rebekah Ragsdale as a head coach with the Orangefield Lady Bobcats. Ragsdale is a graduate of West Orange-Stark and played college ball at Mary Hardin-Baylor before working two years as pitching coach at West Texas A&M where she earned her Master’s Degree. Mott Not Running In BC
Tuesday night the City Council in Bridge City called for the municipal election to be held Saturday, May 6. The ballot will include three seats on the council. Kevin Mott the current Place 1 alderman confirmed he will not be running for re-election. Mott said he did not have any comments concerning his reasons for not seeking another term on the City Council, but he believes there are two good candidates that have filed for the position.
