
Orangefield senior Kaleb Menard and freshman Kaysen Click throw a 17 strikeout combined no hitter as the Bobcats open the season with a 4-0 victory over Rusk.
Menard got the start and went 3 innings. He struck out 8 while scattering 4 walks. Click was electric in relief, striking out 9 in 4 perfect innings of work.
Matthew Johnson led the Bobcats with 2 hits on the night, while driving in 1 and scoring one. Kale Spears broke the game wide open with a 2 out 2 RBI double in the 5th. The Bobcats tacked on some insurance in the 6th when Cole Sanches tripled and was brought in on a Johnson single. Kyler Green also had a productive night, going 1-3 while adding a run scored and a stolen base.
The Bobcats will be back in action on Thursday to play PNG and Bridge City at 5:00 and 7:15 at the Bridge City Cardinal Classic.

BC beat Liberty 12-1. Max Pachar got the win. Landon Leleaux was 3-3 with an RBI and Owen Tucker was 2-4 with 2 runs scored.

LCM walked it off against West Brook 7-6, scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh. Blake Rosalis drove in Dreyden Cook for the game winner. Justin McCarver was 2-4 with 3 RBI’s. Mason Istre lead off and was 2-3 with 2 runs scored.

Vidor beat Memorial 14-0 in five innings. Cade Safer was 3-3 with a double. Hayden Law was 2-4 with 5 RBI’s. Jett Brucia had a 2 run triple.

Hamshire-Fannett beat Bridge City 14-4. Cambree LaComb took the loss giving up 6 earned runs in 6 innings. LaComb had a great day at the plate collecting three of BC’s six hits, while driving in three.
