
Lara Leigh Wilkinson Stewart, 52, passed peacefully from this life on July 8, 2026, at her home in Beaumont, Texas.
Born on December 21, 1973, in Orange, Texas, Lara was raised in Orange, where she developed a lifelong love of the arts. As a young woman, she enjoyed ballet, playing the piano, and participating in her high school marching band.
Lara graduated from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School in 1992. She continued her education at Hollins University and Lamar University, where she earned a master’s degree in psychology. A compassionate and dedicated therapist, Lara devoted her career to helping others through life’s challenges. She fulfilled her lifelong dream by establishing KALOS Family Counselling, a practice she cherished and faithfully served for many years.
Lara was the devoted wife of Arthur Stewart for 26 wonderful years. She deeply loved her family and especially treasured the time she spent with her nieces and nephews, who brought her great joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Lee Wilkinson and Katherine Wilkinson of Orange, Texas.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Arthur Stewart; her son, Marshall Stewart; her brothers, Bruce Martin and Stephen Martin and his wife, Theresa; her sisters, Lanelle Broussard and Johnnie Seago and her husband, Ted; her niece, Melani Davidson and her husband, Ryan; her nephew, Spencer Martin and his wife, Chaelynn; and several great-nieces and great-nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Lara will always be remembered for her gentle, kind spirit, her compassionate heart, and the genuine care she showed to everyone whose lives she touched. Her legacy of kindness, empathy, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
