On July 11 at approximately 9:40 p.m., Sulphur PD units were in pursuit of a black Mercedes westbound on I-10. The pursuit entered Texas and the suspect vehicle exited the 877. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when attempting to make the Adam’s Bayou turnaround.
The suspect vehicle crashed through the guardrail, rolled and went into Adam’s Bayou.
Once the vehicle was removed from the bayou, a male and a female were located inside and pronounced deceased at the scene.
