The Celebration of Life for Mr. Jy’Heim Riley, 19, will be Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 11am at the St. Paul CME Church.
Rites of Christian Burial will follow at Hollywood Community Cemetery under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 until 11am.
Jy’Heim Riley was born April 30, 2003, to Tanya “Rainy” Riley and Eric Todd Edwards in Orange, Texas.
At an early age Jy’Heim expressed true love, honor and respect for God and family.
Jy’Heim was educated through the West Orange-Cove Consolidated Independent School District and was a student of the graduating class of 2022.
Jy’Heim worked a number of jobs over the past few years and stayed busy in order to make ends meet. He was just figuring out life after graduation.
Jy’Heim always exhibited a tremendous love for family and was respectful to everyone he encountered. If you called on him, he was there! He was loyal and extremely peaceful. His pastime was to enjoy simply being around family and friends. He really enjoyed the yearly family camping and fishing trips and hanging out with his loved ones, family, and friends.
Jy’Heim was a pure heart and gentle soul, and he will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Cora Cratic, grandfather Milton Riley, elder cousin Jimmy Frank and many loved ones.
He is survived by his parents Tanya “Rainy” Riley and Eric Todd Edwards, brothers Marco Jaganathan, Donald “DJ” Moore Jr., Shanndon Youngblood, Shemar Youngblood and Myron Griffin III, sisters LeAsia and Olivia Gentry, grandparents Deborah Riley, Georgia May Cratic, and Melvin and Patricia Edwards, great aunt Anne Cartwright, two nieces, Melhani Jaganathan and Ciara Youngblood, and nephew Khalin Youngblood.
