The Team Granger/KOGT Player of the Week is West Orange-Stark running back/returner Khelvy Jefferson. The record-setter got his senior season started right with 205 yds and five touchdowns on 21 carries in the Mustangs big win over 3AD2 #1 Newton.
West Orange-Stark and Jefferson, who already owns the Mustangs season and career rushing mark, will be playing Nederland on Friday.
Honorable Mention honors to Orangefield’s Gage Lucas who led the Bobcats with 133 rushing yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. He also caught three passes for 103 yards and a score.
