Join us for a free Food Safety Conference to be held Tuesday, July 21st, 9 am to 3 pm at the Orange County Convention & Expo Center, 11475 FM 1442 Orange. This conference is being presented by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Orange County and Orange County Health & Code Compliance. There will be several speakers on different aspects of the food industry, food safety, and regulations along with samples of violations. Anyone that handles food for the public is encouraged to attend.
After the conference will be a Food Handlers Certifications class available for those needing certification or renewal. The cost is $20 per person payable the day of class by check, cash, or money order only. Food Handler’s Certification will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm in the Expo Center.
To attend the Food Safety Conference and/or Food Handler’s Certification, you must pre-register online at orange.agrilife.org and click on the registration button. The deadline to register is Monday, July 6th. Questions, contact the AgriLife office at 409-882-7010.
