
The Orangefield High School district round of the Stark Reading Contest took place on Monday, Jan. 12.
In Interpretive Reading, the second place winner, earning a $2,000 scholarship is junior Tessa Bailey. Taking first place, earning $2,500 and advancing to the county round is senior Brynlee South.
In Declamation, the second place winner, earning a $2,000 scholarship is sophomore Carter Munson-Appleby. Taking first place, earning $2,500 and advancing to the county round is senior Devan Eason.
The first place competitors from each category will advance to the county round on Tuesday, February 3rd where they will compete for 1st and 2nd place scholarships of up to an additional $6,500.
