Dorothy Eunice (Green) Hryhorchuk, 78, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the CHRISTUS- St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 24, 2017, at United Pentecostal Church in Deweyville, Texas with Reverend Michael Orange officiating. Rite of Committal and Interment will immediately follow at King Cemetery in Deweyville, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the funeral service from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, on Tuesday, October 25, 2017, at United Pentecostal Church.
Dorothy was born on Friday, November 11, 1938, in Baton Rouge, Louisana, to parents Fannie Mae (Ebby) and Jacob Dedon. After moving from Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1956, Dorothy married Marvin T. Green, SR. and became a lifelong resident of Deweyville, Texas until March of 2016 when she moved to Orange, Texas. She was of the Pentecostal faith, and attended the United Pentecostal Church of Deweyville, Texas. Dorothy was a loving woman with a true heart of gold, who would give you the shirt off her back without question. She loved spending time with her family and making many wonderful memories. Her grandchildren seemed to be the light of her life. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her church family and taking many memorable trips to Branson, Missouri. Dorothy took a particular interest in enjoying watching all the handsome men on the popular TV show, The Bachelor, as well as all the talent that, Dancing with the Stars, had to offer. Her pet bird, “T-Bird”, dog, “Dixie”, two cats, “Lucio and Mercy” and her grand dog, “Dewey” were very important in her life and will miss her dearly.
Preceding Dorothy in death are her first husband, Marvin T. Green, SR.; second husband, Tony A. Hryhorchuk; parents, Fannie Mae (Ebby) and Jacob Dedon; sister, Alice Millet and huband Buster; brother, Morse Dedon and wife Barbra Ann and their daughter, Little Alice; six step brothers and sisers; Buddy Dedon, Elmo Dedon, Mary Depulessi, Birtha and Rowski, Little Alfred Baby Infant, Hubert Dedon, Step Grandson, Robert Fears and Son-In-Law, Roy A. Lambright.
Those who will cherish Dorothy’s memory most are her daughter, Wanda J. Lambright and children, Jimmy Foster, William Foster and their father, Jimmy Foster, step-daughter, Stephanie and husband, Reverend Michael Orange; son, Travis Green and children, Tristan S. Green, Tiffanie S. Green and their mother Tammy Major, step daughter, Jodee Newland and children, Cole and Kendall and step son, Khris Omey, his wife, Amanda, son, Kace and their mother, Vickie; daughter; Cindy Myers and husband, Travis and son Blaze as well as Jake and Cruz and their father, Bruce Bean; sisters, Lillie Mae Hall, Barbara Alonzo and husband Perry; brother, Sunny Alford Dedon.
Honoring Katherine as Pallbearers are: Alan Green, Ricky Green, Mike Green, Randy Green, Hunter Bussell and Wesley Green.
