It is the memories he left for those who knew him that define Donnie’s life. He was a man of few words, but he made a lasting impact on those who truly knew him. He was a master mechanical technician and could fix anything you put in front of him. Donnie was extremely proud of his son Jacob and treasured their time together, whether it was passing on his mechanical expertise, or just hanging out. The outdoors constantly called his name and if he wasn’t working, you would find him fishing with his sidekick, Dixie, kayaking, tinkering with one of his many projects, or spending time in his yard; if the sun was up, Donnie wanted to be outside. When he was inside, it was almost guaranteed he would be strumming heavy metal on one of his guitars. He was fiercely protective and extremely proud of those he loved, especially his son and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Deweyville Pirate Bass Team in honor of Donnie.
