Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas has announced an increase in the rewards offered for anonymous tips that lead to arrests, the filing of criminal charges, or the recovery of stolen property, illegal narcotics, or other evidence connected to criminal activity.
Effective immediately, the organization will pay rewards of up to $1,500 for qualifying tips submitted through its anonymous reporting system.
Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS (8477) or using the P3 Tips mobile app.
The increase marks the first time Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas has raised its maximum reward since the organization was founded. Officials say the move reflects their continued commitment to encouraging community involvement in crime prevention and supporting law enforcement agencies across Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, and Orange counties.
“Community members play a vital role in public safety,” said Richard Vasser, Chairman of the Board of Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas. “By increasing our reward amounts, we hope to encourage more individuals to come forward with information while maintaining the anonymity that Crime Stoppers is known for. Every anonymous tip has the potential to make a significant difference in keeping our communities safe.”
Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas provides a safe, secure, and anonymous way for residents to report criminal activity. Tipsters are never asked to reveal their identity and are assigned a unique tip number that allows them to check the status of their tip and determine whether they qualify for a reward.
