For over 80 years, Claybar Funeral Home has walked alongside the families of Orange—through life’s most meaningful moments— offering care, compassion, and unwavering support across generations.
This May, as a heartfelt expression of gratitude, Claybar Funeral Home will sponsor free admission for the entire community on Opening Night of the Orange Lions Club Carnival on Wednesday, May 13. Now celebrating its 85th year, the carnival remains one of Orange’s most cherished traditions— mirroring Claybar’s own enduring presence in the community.
For Claybar, this milestone is not about recognition—it is about reflection, gratitude, and the relationships built over decades.
“Orange is where it all started,”said Warren Claybar, President of Claybar Funeral Home.“This community is not just where we work—it’s who we serve, who we know, and who we care about. We have been entrusted with the lives and memories of families here for generations, and that is something we never take lightly.”
Founded by Lannie Claybar, the company began with a simple but powerful mission: to serve families with dignity, compassion, and integrity. More than eight decades later, that mission remains unchanged.
“My grandfather believed in showing up for people when they needed it most,” Claybar said.“Eighty years later, we are still here—serving the same community, caring for the same families, and now their children and grandchildren. That kind of trust is humbling beyond words.”
Over the years, Claybar Funeral Home has become more than a service provider— it has become part of the fabric of Orange. Families who were once served decades ago now return, trusting Claybar to care for their loved ones with the same compassion and respect.
“There are families we have walked with through multiple generations,” Claybar added.“To be invited into those moments, time and time again, is an honor that is difficult to put into words. It’s not something we take for granted—it’s something we carry with us every single day.”
The decision to sponsor Opening Night at the Orange Lions Club Carnival was a natural one.
“As we celebrate over 80 years in Orange, we wanted to do something that brings people together,”said Claybar.“Something that reflects the heart of this community. This is simply our way of saying thank you—to give families a night to enjoy, to be together, and to celebrate what makes Orange so special.”
As the lights come on and families gather at the carnival, Claybar Funeral Home hopes the evening serves as a reminder—not only of its history, but of its continued commitment to the community it proudly calls home.
“For us, it has always been about people,” Claybar said.“And it always will be.” Claybar Funeral Home invites all families in the community to attend Opening Night on May 13 and enjoy a night of fun, connection, and celebration—on them.
