
The UIL Lone Star Cup is presented each year to six Texas high schools — one in each UIL classification from 1A through 6A — recognizing outstanding achievement in athletics and academics based on team success in district and state competition. Each winning school receives the UIL Lone Star Cup trophy along with a $1,000 scholarship.
Points are accumulated from results in Team Tennis, Cross Country, Marching Band, Military Marching Band, Volleyball, Robotics, Football, Congress, Spirit, Swimming & Diving, Wrestling, Mariachi, Film, Basketball, Robotics FIRST, Soccer, Academics, One-Act Play, Theatrical Design, Track & Field, Golf, Tennis
Orangefield had the best finish among Orange County and Southeast Texas schools and Bridge City was the top 4A school in the area.
