Bethel Baptist Church in West Orange and the congregation prepares to celebrate a meaningful community milestone, 75 years of ministry, worship, service, and Gospel witness within Southeast Texas.
For generations, Bethel Baptist Church has sought to faithfully encourage families, support neighbors, pray for the community, and serve the Orange and West Orange area.
Bethel Baptist started in a home in the Brownwood community on June 6, 1951. In August 1951 they moved to 1512 N 15th street before 16th St was paved. The church and Orange grew and in 2008 they purchased the Faith Methodist church building on Western Ave and moved to West Orange.
Pastor Chris Price said, “This is more than an Anniversary, it is a homecoming, a family reunion. We want former members, longtime friends and people who have never visited Bethel to come celebrate with us on June 7 at 10:30 AM at 2906 Western Ave in West Orange.”
