Beau Callahan, 68, of Orange, Texas passed away July 17, 2026 in Orange.
Beau was born July 3, 1958 in Orange and lived there his whole life. He worked in the oil fields and at a local refinery through its years as Texaco, Star and Motiva.
Beau knew a lot of people in Orange and could connect with just about anyone. He was plainspoken and could be a little rough around the edges at times, but those who knew him, knew he was generous and compassionate at heart. He had a soft spot in his heart for the children in his life.
Nothing brought him more joy than being a grandfather. His grandson Cooper Strohm of Bridge City, was his favorite person on the planet. If you knew Beau, you knew how much he loved Cooper, he lit up talking about him and spending time with him.
Beau was also so happy to welcome his new bonus granddaughter, Charli Wedekind of San Antonio, into his family, whom he loved dearly.
He found real enjoyment working in his yard and gardening, and he gave his time volunteering at Orange Christian Services.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Farmer Callahan of Orange, Texas; daughter, Jessica Callahan of Bridge City, Texas; grandson, Cooper Strohm of Bridge City, Texas; bonus granddaughter, Charli Wedekind of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Beth Langdon of Houston, Texas; great-niece, Sadie Hounshell; and great-nephews, Jack Hounshell, Sawyer Mack, and Cohen Mack of North Carolina.
Cremation was entrusted to Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
