The Tropical Depression in the Gulf became Tropical Storm Bertha during the 10pm report on Monday night. TS Bertha contains maximum sustained winds of 40 mph. Bertha is expected to begin moving westward by Wednesday, possibly bringing impacts to SE Texas.

4pm forecast on Monday still has system headed to Southeast Texas but it still has not gained enough strength to become TS Bertha.

Tropical Depression Two has formed in the NE Gulf.
The National Weather Service says the system is moving slowly and is expected to become a tropical storm over the next day or two. It will likely approach the Florida Panhandle by Monday night, bringing potential tropical storm conditions, before turning west toward the central/western Gulf Coast later this week. Hurricane Hunters are flying out today to investigate the system.
