Amy Carolyn Griffith, 83, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 4, 2018, at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Ryan Chandler and Dr. Bob Webb. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2018, in Texarkana, Arkansas with Reverend Jesse Haynes officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Texarkana, Arkansas, on May 20, 1935, she was one of ten children born to William Henry Mosley and Maud (Roberts) Mosley. Amy was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church, as well as the Orange Nile Club. She graduated from Genoa Central High School in Texarkana, Arkansas. Amy enjoyed spending her time reading, quilting, and was even a member of a local quilting club in Orange. She loved her church, was an avid missions supporter, and enjoyed volunteering for many organizations. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Maud Mosley; and her son, David Griffith.
Amy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Noel Griffith; children, Donna Kilbourne and husband William, of Easley, SC and Stephen Griffith, of Orange, TX; daughter-in-law, Twila Griffith, of Victoria, TX; grandchildren, Andrew Griffith, of Victoria, TX, Alexander Griffith and wife McKenzie, of Houston, TX, and Addie Griffith, of Victoria, TX; siblings, Alice Robinson, of Bonham, TX and Vernon Mosley, of Longview, TX; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are Fred Collins, Mike Kelley, Lloyd Holcomb, Dan Mohon, Donna Nichols, and Shirley Gordon.
In lieu of customary remembrances, donations can be made to Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund in Orange, Texas.
