Emil “Bub” Edward Fischer, 93, of Vidor, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2026, at his residence. A longtime resident of Vidor, Bub was a man who found joy in the simple things in life and leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, and cherished memories.
Bub proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Following his military service, he dedicated 32 years of his working life to Chevy Land, where he made many lasting friendships and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He was also a longtime member of Pine Forest Baptist Church.
Bub had many interests that brought him happiness throughout his life. He was an avid rock hound and enjoyed searching for and collecting interesting rocks and treasures. He was also an avid computer user who enjoyed learning, exploring, and staying connected through technology. He especially loved working in his yard and took great pride in caring for his home and surroundings.
Above all else, Bub cherished his family. He shared 64 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, June. Together, they built a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and memories. Bub’s greatest joy was his family, and he treasured the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The love he gave them will continue to live on through each generation.
Bub is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, June Fischer of Vidor, TX; his children, Michael Edward Fischer and wife Della, Sonya Rene’ Fischer, Nathan Joseph Fischer and wife Karla, and Ethan Emil Fischer, all of Vidor, TX; four grandchildren, Charlee Fischer, Caraylee Duhon, Autumn Koenieg, and Ethan Noah Fischer; and seven great-grandchildren.
Though his family will deeply miss his presence, they can find comfort in knowing that Bub’s 93 years were filled with a lifetime of love, devotion, hard work, and memories that will never be forgotten. His legacy will live on in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and in all the lives he touched along the way. Bub will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by the family he loved so dearly.
