On October 17, 2025, Larry Don Laughlin, 82, peacefully entered into the eternity that awaited him in Jesus Christ, his Savior.
Larry was born in Jennings, Louisiana but lived most of his life in Texas. He graduated from Bridge City High School in 1961 in Bridge City, TX.
Larry was a welder by trade. He worked as a welder and other pipe-fitting jobs through the Pipe Fitters Union Local 195 and other local companies.
He is predeceased by his parents, George “Ham” and Violet Todd Laughlin; his first wife, Frances Stafford Laughlin, and his son Andrew Kyle Laughlin.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Taylor Laughlin, and son, Jason Lee Laughlin of Baytown, TX., and two brothers (Jerry and wife, Elizabeth Wilkinson Laughlin of Lumberton, TX. and Ronnie and wife, Elizabeth Hanberry Laughlin, of Conroe, TX). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
During the last several years, Larry was homebound because of Parkinson’s disease and dementia. His faithful son, Jason Lee Laughlin, lived with him and sacrificed much to care for him.
When Larry was 10 years old, he made the decision to trust Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Bridge City, TX.
Larry was a fun person to be around. He loved to laugh and make jokes and tell stories, like his Dad. He was always ready to help anyone who was in need.
He had a great work ethic, taught by his father and mother, and he strived for perfection in all of his tasks. He loved his children and was willing to sacrifice for them.
Interment will be at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City.
A private memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Bridge City on Saturday, February 21 at 11:30 am.
