The LCM Lady Bears rolled Gatesville 13-3 win in six innings to take Game One of the series at Sam Houston State University. The Bears started with a seven run first, capped by a grand slam by Ella Stephenson.
Keylie Washburn would hit a two run homer in the second for a commanding 9-0 lead. Gatesville would respond in the third with three runs.
LCM would add two more in the fourth on solo homers by Lexis Moss and Washburn. And then in the sixth, Moss would single and Erickson would homer for the 10 run rule walkoff. FIVE homeruns for the Lady Bears.
Stephenson and Erickson once again provided a 1-2 punch in the circle. Gm. 2 of the series begins at 5pm Friday at Lake Creek High School.

Bridge City was down 3-2 to Hardin-Jefferson in Game One of their series until the sixth inning when the Cardinal took advantage of some Hawk mistakes and timely hitting to win 8-3.
Austin Frederick singled, followed by walks to Ashton Sumrall and Slade Landry to load the bases with one out.
After HJ changed pitchers, Owen Tucker singled to score Frederick. Sumrall then scored on a passed ball. Carson Bounds was hit to load the bases and then Hutch Bearden was HBP to score another run. Lead off hitter Hunter Ford then singled to score Tucker and Bounds. Bearden scored on a single by CJ Riojas for a 6-run sixth and a 8-3 lead.
Max Pachar would wrap up the complete game win by taking the Hawks down in order in the top of the seventh. He struck out eight and walked one, giving up three runs on six hits. Ford finished with 3 RBI’s.

The LCM Bears took Gm. 1 against Liberty 3-1.
Parker Seago got things going in the first by stealing home after being walked in the lead off spot. In the fourth the Bears would score two when Parker Freeman drove in Dreyden Cook and Jacob Scheiderer.
Landon Richards kept Liberty offense off balance. He gave up a run on five hits with 10K’s and two walks for the win.
Gm. 2 of the series is Friday at 4pm in Jasper with Gm. 3 to follow if needed.
