The Celebration of Life for Mr. Walter C. Lazenby, 86, of Orange, will be Saturday, February 4th, 2023, at 11am at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Rites of Christian Burial will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 until 11 am.
Walter Carrol “Alla” Lazenby was born on September 9th, 1936, in Town Bluff, Texas. He was the fourth child born to the union of Lillie Mae (Moye) Lazenby and Odis Lazenby, Sr.
Until his health failed, Walter share his love of Christ as a Senior Usher at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. His life of service was evident with more than 35 years of service as a member of the Usher Board.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie and Odis Lazenby, Sr., three brothers, Robert Earl Lazenby, Harvey Lee Arline and Odis Lazenby, Jr., and one sister, Mattie Lazenby.
His legacy of love and devotion to his family will be cherished by his brothers, Leo Lazenby, Sr. (Mary), Roy Lee Lazenby (Diana) and Daniel Lazenby (Vickie), loving niece, Mickey Judge, special cousin, Victor Moses, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
