LCM’s Isaac Woods received one of six DOW Apprentice Scholarships which will train him as well as pay for his classes at Lamar State College Orange. After he completes the two years he will have permanent employment.
Woods was one of 851 that applied. That list was trimmed to 250 and then 32 were interviewed before six were chosen.
The apprenticeship is valued at $125,000.
