Bridge City got off to a good start against Liberty thanks to their defense. Bryce Breeden blocked a punt and Joel Williams picked it up and scored for a 7-0 lead. Then Williams was “Johnny on the Spot” again when Liberty’s running back was stripped of the ball and Williams scooped and scored as the Cards jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and coasted to a 55-28 win.
