As the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season gets underway, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Beaumont District is urging residents to learn their evacuation routes now—before a storm threatens the area.
The Beaumont District—covering Jefferson, Liberty, Chambers, Orange, Hardin, Jasper, Newton, and Tyler counties—plays a critical role in statewide evacuation efforts. TxDOT is releasing its 2026 evacuation routes to help ensure traffic moves safely and efficiently should an evacuation be ordered.
