
The Bridge City Lady Cardinals passed the test against an aggressive Silsbee team Tuesday night with a 71-45 win at home. BC (22-2, 5-0) turned it up in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 44-27. Mia Sterling lead with 21. Rylee Hebert had 12 and Aubree Small and Kenedee Putnam had 10 each.

LCM Lady Bears beat Lumberton 40-39. Emily Smith paced the offense tonight with 14 points followed by Mallory Russell and Taylor Huckaby who each had 9 points to go along with several hard fought rebounds. LCM had an inspiring team effort on defense as well. The JV is seeing much improvement each night but fell 42-24. Sydney Sauer had 6 points. Lucy Walters and Ava Shugart each had 4. This moves the Lady Bears to 4-1 in district. They will take on Silsbee at their place on Friday at 6:00. This game will determine who is sitting in 2nd place at the end of round 1 of district play.

Orangefield beat Buna 46–40. Mikayla Locke led the way with 28 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Ava Josephson added 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists, while Olivia Smith contributed 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. The JV Lady Bobcats picked up a 43–19 win. Paxton Oldham led the scoring with 20 points, along with 5 rebounds and 2 steals. Ainsley McAlpin filled up the stat sheet with 6 points, 12 steals, and 4 rebounds. Kenley Copeland and Piper Pollet each added 6 points and 2 rebounds. The Lady Bobcats will hit the road Friday to take on the Anahuac Lady Panthers, with JV tipping off at 4:30 and varsity to follow.

BOYS
BC beat Silsbee on the road 71-57. Cards were lead by Jiraiya Jennings with 17 pts, Aaden Bush with 15 pts, Braydon Denison with 14 pts, and Abraham Munguia with 12 pts. Cardinals defeat the Silsbee Tigers for the first time in what is believed to be 45 years. BC moves to (4-0) in district and 15-9 on the season. JV Cards also got the win, completing the program sweep over the Tigers.

Pirates advance to 3-1 in district play after taking down the West Orange-Stark Mustangs 69-57. Leading the Prates was Noak Rains – 24 pts 13 Reb and Caden Beavers – 17 pts 8 Reb. Vidor is off Friday. The Pirates will be back in action a week from now at Lumberton.

Orangefield jumped out to a 27-2 first quarter lead and cruised to a 78-34 win over Buna. The Bobcats had many contributors on the night including Carson Willis with 28 points and 7 rebounds. Rylan Agerton with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals. Jaxon Agerton finished with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 7 steals. Jaden Scales contributed 8 points to go along with dishing out 10 assists. This pushes the Bobcats record to 20-3 on the season and 4-0 in district. Orangefield will begin a three game road trip on Friday night as they travel to Anahuac. The JV won 55-27 with Will Rutledge scoring 11 points.
