
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats (1-1) picked up a big team win over a tough Kountze Lady Lionettes squad, 51–45, in a true team effort from start to finish. Everyone contributed on both ends of the floor to get the win. Brooklyn Wagoner led the way with 16 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Mikayla Locke posted a huge double-double with 14 points, 11 steals, and 5 rebounds, while Olivia Smith added 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.
The Lady Bobcats are back in action on Friday against the Warren Lady Warriors, with JV tipping off at 4:30 and Varsity playing after Boys JV.

The LCM Lady Bears traveled to Jasper tonight to get started with district play and are headed home 1-0 after a hard fought 46-39 victory over the Lady Bulldogs. The offense was led by Maya Meadows with 19, Mallory Russell who battled for 8 points and also took three charges. Taylor Huckaby and Paityn Golden each had 6 points, with Golden’s coming in the form of back to back clutch 3 pointers. The Lady Bears will be at home on Friday night against Bridge City, who was off on Tuesday.

Deweyville lost to Starks 56-38. Kambelle Blackwell had 22 and Kaitlyn Cobian 11 for the LP’s.

WOS lost to Silsbee in the district opener 53-13. Kyla Blagburn led WOS with 10.

LCM lost to East Chambers 62-50

Bridge City lost to Hardin-Jefferson 65-51. Cards had several guys out due to illness and injury. BC (10-8) was led by Aaden Bush with 22 pts and Nolan Tran with 13 pts. BC will host Nederland Friday.

Orangefield got their final preseason contest in against Jasper before district play. The Bobcats beat Jasper 78-34. Carson Willis led with 18 points, Kyran Morrow 16 points, Jaxon Agerton 15 points, and Rylan Agerton with 10 points. Jaden Scales also reached a rare career milestone in the effort, surpassing 2,000 points scored for his career! The Bobcats will be at Warren in the district opener Friday.
JV White lost 36-43. They were led on the night by Andrew Bland with 12 points, Hunter Reeves with 9 points, and Caleb Flory with 7 points. JV Orange won 80-45. Five different Bobcats scored in double figures. Devin Cook led the way with 18 points, followed closely by Logan Anderson’s 17, Kolte Morgan contributed 12 points, and Will Rutledge and Easton Locke chipped in 11 points apiece.

Starks defeated Deweyville 53-50. Kamen Collins had 17 points for the Pirates followed by Lexton Beritech 15, and Heath Picou 8.
