The Bridge City Lady Cardinals had to win two vs. Hamshire-Fannett on Saturday to advance and they did just that and will play Salado in a one game playoff on Thursday at 7pm at Lake Creek HS in Montgomery.
BC 7 HF 3 – Jensyn Yeaman was 2-4 with 3RBI as six of the Cards 10 hits were for extra bases. Cambree LaComb gave up no earned runs on 8 hits with 5K’s and 1 walk.
BC 6 HF 4 – Down 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth Kaitlyn Juneau hit a 3 run bomb, plating Kendal Krailo and Gabby Moore.

The BC baseball team needed to win two to advance over Hudson but unfortunately came up short and lose in the first round. Cards end the season 27-6.
BC 6 Hudson 2 – Down 0-2 in the fifth, BC scored four in the fifth and two in the seventh for the comeback win. Slade Landry was 3-4 with an RBI and Paxton Arkeen was 2-4 with 2RBI’s. Owen Tucker and Brady Havard combined for the win.
Hudson 2 BC 1 – Tied at one after seven innings, the Hornets manufactured a run in the eighth and then struck out the Cards in order in the bottom of the inning for the win. Slade Landry pitched a great game, holding the Hornets to no earned runs in 7 innings with 7K’s and one walk. Hudson outhit the Cards 9-4. Two of BC’s hits were from Ashton Sumrall.

After a 20-2 win in Gm. 1 vs. Palestine, Vidor swept the series with 9-6 win Saturday. Blake Safer was 3-4 with 3 RBI’s and he got the win in 6 innings of work. Cade Safer and Jett Brucia also drove in two a piece as the Pirates (19-8-1) will play Huffman in the second round. It’ll be a best of three at Deer Park. Thurs and Fri at 7pm and Saturday at 1pm.
