
Ruth Livingston Burnett, 74, of Orange, went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Born in Mena, Arkansas on September 21, 1945 to Ray and Hazel Livingston, she was raised in Port Arthur but lived in Orange for the past thirty years. Ruth’s hobbies were being bossy and always getting her way. She always made time to pray for everyone. Ruth never met a stranger and always had to put her opinion in on every conversation weather she was asked or not. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother and will be missed greatly. Rest in Peace our sweet Mom. Psalm 23:2-3
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, Eston (Barney)Burnett; parents, Ray and Hazel Livingston; son, Craig Lee; siblings, Bubba Livingston, Gary Livingston, Sue Marks, and Deborah Belcher.
She is survived by her children, Regina Morphew and husband Thad, Tonya Melancon and husband Carl; brothers, Edward and Jimmy Livingston; grandchildren, Oleatha, Tyson, Chad, Carl, Jr., Shay, Kendall, Heather, and Kacey; great grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and her fur baby Tippy.
The family would like to send a special thanks to her niece, Melissa Peveto and her brother in law, Jerry Belcher.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home. A private service will take place at a later date.
