Money was flying around 16th Street Wednesday afternoon, but police report it was litter. The bills were obviously counterfeit.
Officer Chris Arnold reported a city of Orange employee flagged him down about 2 p.m. on 16th at Cordrey Avenue. The employee had seen a vehicle traveling by Northway Shopping Center throwing bills out the window. The employee had picked up $25 worth to show.
Arnold and another officer went and picked up the funny money. They also found some in the Jack in the Box area.
