On Monday, July 27, 2020, Detectives with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 10, near FM 1136, for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, a male subject fled from Detectives across the interstate and into a wooded area. The suspect was captured by Detectives by Detectives, with the assistance of the Beaumont Police K-9 unit. During the search of the suspect’s vehicle, approximately one pound of cocaine was located. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Orange County Jail for possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest.
