Bridge City and Liberty went toe to toe Thursday night in Baytown in a one game winner take all third round matchup. A date that had been marked on the calendar since the beginning of the season. The pitching matchup of Carson Fall vs. Liberty's Brookelyn Taylor did not disappoint. For five innings the two threw zero's on the scoreboard. In the sixth, Taylor helps herself with a single. Bust Made Wednesday

On Wednesday, May 9th, 2024, the Orange Police Department Narcotics Division executed narcotics search warrant in the 300 block of Knox Avenue in Orange, Orange County, Texas.  This search warrant was executed after an investigation into the illegal distribution of Crack Cocaine within the City of Orange.  During the search warrant, a black male, Dennis Bowie, 40, was placed under arrest for Felony Possession of a controlled substance after over 50 grams of Crack Cocaine was located and seized.  The Orange Police Department Narcotics Division was assisted by the West Orange Police Department, … [Read more...] about Bust Made Wednesday

Another Tree Closes Road

People who drive along FM1130 will be paying more attention to the road and the sky after a second tree fell across the road near the Cherokee Trails intersection, blocking it for a couple of hours before it was removed. It happened Wednesday evening, less than a week after a tree fell across FM1130 near Bear Trails. Fortunately in both cases, no one was hurt. Bears Lose Lead; Game One

On a warm, humid evening in Lufkin the LCM Lady Bears jumped out to a 4-0 lead on Bullard but they couldn't hold it as the Panthers scored 10 runs for the 10-4 win in Game One of their third round series. In the first inning, Eden Frenzel got things started with a single. She was sacrificed to second by Jacelyn Cook. Then Lexis Moss got the Bear crowd on its feet with a two run homer. Cheese, Shug Pick Up Wins

Big night for two of our own. Buffalo played Worchester in a AAA doubleheader Wednesday. Chad Dallas (WOS) got the start for Buffalo and the win in game one, pitching five innings, striking out five and walking only one.
