Halloween season is here, so it's time to bring out the spooky tales. I always say 'there's no scientific proof of ghosts.' The definition of 'ghost' is a spirit of a dead person. State Rep Opens Office
State Representative Dade Phelan officially opened his district office Monday in Mauriceville with a good crowd of local leaders to celebrate the opening of the office on Highway 62. Phelan a real estate developer in Beaumont is a Republican in District 21 of the Texas Legislature which includes Orange County. Orange Crime Over the Weekend
Law officers from several agencies went to the Dollar General store on 16th Street across from the Sonic Drive-In Monday morning. Store personnel suspected a robber might be outside and called the Orange Police Department a few minutes before 9 a.m. Detective Captain Cliff Hargrave said a clerk saw a man peeking around a corner and he looked like he had his face covered. Orange patrol officers, Orange County sheriff's deputies and a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper searched the area but did not see anyone suspicious. The LCM Class of 1976 is hosting a "Remembering Rick Smith Re-Union" to honor and celebrate the life of Rick who passed away Oct 5th after losing his battle to cancer. It will be held at the Capistrano Club in Orange. Saturday, October 17th from 6:30pm until 11:00pm. Former coaches, teammates, teachers, and all are welcome to attend. Orange Man Killed On I-10
At approximately 12:40am on Friday, October 9, 2015, there was an auto-pedestrian crash in the eastbound traffic lanes of Interstate 10 near mile marker 877 in Orange County. There is very limited information on this crash; however, Troopers were able to ascertain that a vehicle was traveling eastbound in the inside lane of Interstate 10 near mile marker 877.
