After a tough first half that featured three turnovers, the WOS Mustangs showed their championship form in the second half as they blew away Bellville 42-3 in the 4A D2 State Quarterfinals Friday night at Texan Drive Stadium. Born in Indian Bayou, Louisiana, on August 8, 1929, she was the daughter of Jesse Milton Morgan and Attie Glennie (Hoffpauir) Morgan. County Health Inspections
Dead bugs, mice feces and mold led to demerits at food service businesses, but clutter led to Orange County Health Inspector James Scales threatening to suspend a permit at a convenience store. During the last part of November, Scales inspected 23 food service places with 11, 10 of them schools, getting perfect scores. The lowest score was a 78 and went to Tequila's Mexican Restaurant on Texas Avenue in Bridge City. However, Scales criticized the Cypress Plaza store at 1610 W. Park Avenue for the amount of clutter. Arrest Made for Aggravated Robbery
Orange police have arrested a 23-year-old on a warrant for aggravated robbery in connection with the hold-up of the Shell convenience store on Edgar Brown Jr. Drive on November 14. Detective Captain Cliff Hargrave said Keyontay Young has been charged in connection with being the driver of the get-away car for the man who used a rifle to rob the store at 1:14 in the morning. Funeral services for Jimmy Clyde Melton, 71, of Silsbee will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.
