With two days left to early vote it is too close to call if Orange County will break the all time early vote total for a General Election. After Wednesday's ballot total of 1703, a total of 25,274 have cast their ballot. That's 43% of the registered voters in OC. The EV total in 2020 was 30,490. Sunset Pool Covered Up
The pool at Sunset Grove Country Club closed over a month ago for the summer and on Tuesday it closed for good as dirt was brought in to cover it up. Manager Trey Smith said they will be building a patio area for those waiting to get into Tia Juanita's Restaurant. Also if there's a band playing on the deck they'll be able to see and hear the band from the patio. Verna Faye Hodge (Edwards) passed away on October 23, 2024, in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 86. She was born in Garrison, Texas, daughter to the late Vernon L. Edwards and Bessie Faye Edwards. Verna Faye was a dedicated daughter, sister, and wonderful wife and mother. She was a charter member of North Orange Baptist Church for 71 years.
