Woman Shot On Riverside

On Sunday, March 19, 2017, at 7:50 pm, officers with the City of Orange Police Department were dispatched to the 2300 block of Riverside in reference to a shooting victim.  Upon officer’s arrival, a 37 year old black female was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to her legs.  She was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont for treatment.  A suspect has been identified, but has not been located at this time.  The investigation is still ongoing by Orange Police Department Detectives. -   … [Read more...] about Woman Shot On Riverside

Music Fest Saturday

The Orange Convention and Visitors Bureau is excited to announce a Downtown Music Festival is coming to the City of Orange. The Downtown Music Festival will be held at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion on Saturday, March 25, from 12 P.M. – 9 P.M.   There will be no charge for spectators to come and enjoy this fun filled event in downtown Orange, TX! Truck Fire At WOCCISD

  Firefighters put out a truck fire at the West Orange-Cove Educational Service Center on Park Street Friday night. Orange firefighters were called after a fire began on the back of a WOC truck in the parking lot.  The truck had a welding machine and Supt. Ricky Harris told KOGT that he was told the fire started there.  Preliminary information regarding the cause indicated no vandalism. McKenna Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Mary McKenna of Southeast Texas Hospice in Orange has shown a lifetime of commitment to building Hospice in America from only a few hospices nationwide to the thousands that exist today to serve the needs of the terminally ill across Texas, New Mexico and across the United State Of America.   She is a founder of the Texas and New Mexico Organization, an early President of the organization, and a hospice  member and advocate for the organization from its inception. Aleah McClanahan lead off the fifth with a solo homerun to up Bridge City's lead to 2-0.  The Lady Cardinals would go on to a 4-0 win over Orangefield Friday as Kassidy Wilbur pitched a two hitter and struck out 11. Wilbur and OF's Kaylee Ancelot had thrown hitless ball through three innings.  In the fourth, BC's Jalynne Burch lead off with a hit and went to second on a wild pitch.  Caitlin Denison then drove her in for a 1-0 lead.
